This 8×10 photograph has been personally signed by the New York Yankees’ Joe Pepitone in blue sharpie marker. Joe Pepitone spent 12 years in the major leagues and played for the Yankees from 1962-1969. The Yankees signed the Brooklyn-bred young star in 1958 and after toiling for four years in the minor leagues, Pepitone would win a World Series ring during his rookie campaign as the backup for Moose Skowron. Pepitone was a veritable star during his career with the Yankees, receiving numerous awards and accolades. He was a 3-time All-Star selection (1963, 1964, 1965) and also a 3-time Gold Glove winner (1965, 1966, 1969). This photograph depicts Pepitone with two of the most famous Yankees of all time, Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle, following Game 6 of the 1964 World Series. Maris and Mantle hit back-to-back home runs in the 6th inning of the contest and Pepitone followed up with a home run of his own, a grand slam, in the 8th on the way to a series-tying Yankee victory.
Joe Pepitone signed this photograph at “The Philly Show” on September 22, 2017. We will provide an original show ticket from the time of signing when available. All autographs are guaranteed authentic and were signed in the presence of a Philly Show employee.
