Bobby Shantz spent 16 years in the major leagues and split his most memorable years between the Philadelphia Athletics and New York Yankees. Shantz had a long and illustrious career where he amassed a 119-99 record with a 3.38 ERA and 1,072 career strikeouts. Additionally, he was the 1952 AL MVP, a 1958 World Series Champion, won eight consecutive Gold Glove Awards (1957-1964) and was a 3-time All-Star selection (1951, 1952, 1957).
