This officially licensed 8×10 photograph from Photofile has been personally signed by the Philadelphia Athletics’ Bobby Shantz in blue sharpie marker. Shantz has included the inscription “1952 A.L. M.V.P.” referencing his MVP award. Bobby Shantz spent 16 years in the major leagues and played for the Athletics from 1949-1956, moving from Philadelphia to Kansas City with the team in 1955. Shantz had a long and illustrious career where he amassed a 119-99 record with a 3.38 ERA and 1,072 career strikeouts. Additionally, he was the 1952 AL MVP, a 1958 World Series Champion, won eight consecutive Gold Glove Awards (1957-1964) and was a 3-time All-Star selection (1951, 1952, 1957).
