Mike Rozier

Mike Rozier is a former American college and professional football player who was a running back in the United States Football League (USFL) for two seasons and the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons during the 1980s and early 1990s. Rozier played college football for the University of Nebraska, and won the Heisman Trophy in 1983. Afterward, he played professionally for the Pittsburgh Maulers and Jacksonville Bulls of the USFL and the Houston Oilers and Atlanta Falcons of the NFL. He was drafted 2nd overall by the Houston Oilers in the 1984 NFL Supplemental Draft and played six seasons with the team, amassing a total of 900 carries for 3171 yards, including a 1,002-yard rushing season in 1988. Rozier was elected to the AFC Pro Bowl squad in both 1987 and 1988. He is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.
